Composition (per mL):
Meloxicam – 20 mg
Excipient – q.s. to 1 mL

Indications:
RELIVEN 20 mg is indicated for the management of pain, inflammation, and fever in large animals. It is suitable for use in:

Cattle

• Relief of inflammation and pain in acute mastitis (in combination with antibiotic therapy)

• Pain management following dehorning procedures (administer ~10 minutes prior, with local anesthesia)

Sheep and Lambs (≥14 days old)

• Reduction of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions and routine procedures

Horses

• Consult a veterinarian for off-label use under professional discretion

Mechanism of Action:
Meloxicam selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), reducing prostaglandin synthesis responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever, while sparing COX-1, helping to maintain gastric and renal integrity.

Dosage and Administration:
Administer only by a licensed veterinarian.
Routes:

• Intravenous (IV) or subcutaneous (SC) in cattle and sheep

• Intramuscular (IM) in pigs
  Dosage:

• Cattle: 0.5 mg meloxicam/kg bodyweight

• Sheep: 1.0 mg/kg bodyweight
