Product Description:
Primoxal Injectable Solution is a clear, light yellow, sterile injectable formulation containing Trimethoprim 40 mg/ml and Sulfamethoxazole 200 mg/ml. It is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial and protozoal infections in large and small animals.

Composition (per ml):

• Trimethoprim – 40 mg

• Sulfamethoxazole – 200 mg

Mechanism of Action:
The combination of trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole acts synergistically by inhibiting sequential steps in the folic acid synthesis pathway, leading to effective bacteriostatic and antiprotozoal activity.

• Urinary tract infections

• Route of Administration:

  • IM or slow IV for cattle, sheep, goats

  • IV only for horses and dogs

• Dosage:

  • 1 ml per 10–15 kg body weight
