Omeprazole is a potent proton pump inhibitor that blocks gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme system within gastric parietal cells.
Formulated in an oil-based carrier, OMOGUARD ensures stability in gastric acid and facilitates absorption in the small intestine.
Indications:

Clinical Signs of Gastric Ulcers:

Adults: Inappetence, colic, weight loss, soft feces, poor coat, decreased performance

Foals: Teeth grinding, diarrhea, drooling, weakness, sternal recumbency
Dosage & Administration:

Treatment: 4 mg/kg/day (5 mL orally) for 28 days

Prevention: 1 mg/kg/day (1.25 mL orally) for ongoing management
