Cephaprin benzathine (equivalent to 500 mg cephaprin)

Indications:
Metrinew is indicated for the treatment of:

• Subacute and chronic endometritis caused by cephaprin-sensitive bacteria

• Repeat breeding issues linked to bacterial infections

• Postpartum uterine infections (from day 14 post-calving)

• Pre-breeding uterine sanitation to enhance conception success

Mechanism of Action:
Cephaprin benzathine, a first-generation cephalosporin, inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to effective elimination of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens within the uterus.

Dosage & Administration:

• Route: Intrauterine only

• Dosage: One full 19 g injector per affected cow

• Use an aseptic technique

• No need for systemic antibiotics
