Indications:
Metrazol 500 mg is indicated for the treatment and management of:

• Giardiasis (Giardia spp.)

• Bacterial enteritis and flatulence

• Short bowel syndrome

• Oral cavity anaerobic infections

• Hepatic encephalopathy

• Cholangitis

• Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

Mechanism of Action:
Metronidazole disrupts DNA synthesis in anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, leading to microbial death. It also exerts immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects on the gastrointestinal tract.

Dosage & Administration:
Administer orally as directed by a licensed veterinarian.
General Giardia Treatment Guidelines:

• Puppies: 25 mg/kg every 12 hours for 5–7 days

• Adult dogs: 50 mg/kg once daily for 5 days
  (Tablet quantity adjusted to body weight)
