PRONIL 10 ML INJ SELMOR

Composition:

• Dimizanine Aceturate (M.S.): 105 mg
• Antipyrine (USP): 131 mg

Indications: Pronil Injection is used for the treatment and prevention of:

• Trypanosomiasis and Babesia: Effective against T. vivax, T. congolase, T. brucei, B. bigemina, B. motasi, B. canis, and Piroplasmosis in cattle, sheep, horses, camels, and dogs.
• Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic Effects: For primary therapy, septic or endotoxic shock, and inflammation associated with trypanosomiasis.

Pharmacodynamics:

• Dimizanine Aceturate: Interferes with glycolytic pathways and DNA replication of parasites, blocking their metabolic processes.
• Antipyrine: Inhibits synthesis of cyclooxygenases and prostaglandins, providing relief from inflammation, pain, and fever.

Dosage & Administration: Pronil Injection is administered intramuscularly. It is advised to screen the animal for presence of parasites before treatment.

• Cow/Buffalo: 10 ml per 300 kg body weight
• Horse/Donkey: 10 ml per 300 kg body weight
• Sheep/Goat: 0.3 ml per 10 kg body weight

Precautions:

• In case of large volumes to be injected, divide the dose into two separate sites.
• Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place.
• Withdrawal Time for Meat: 21 days
