DUASOL: Important Information for Racing Horses and Camels

DUASOL is a veterinary medication containing a combination of doxycycline (an antibiotic) and flunixin meglumine (an anti-inflammatory and analgesic). It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections and inflammatory conditions in horses and camels, including:

Respiratory infections:

• Mannheimia haemolytica (shipping fever)
• Pasteurella (pneumonia)
• Equine influenza
• Strangles

Systemic infections:

• Septicemia (blood poisoning)
• Leptospirosis
• Tetanus

Other conditions:

• Arthritis
• Laminitis
• Uveitis
