Cabutazone

Composition:

Each 1 ml contains:

• Phenylbutazone 200 mg

Indication:

• Cabutazone is indicated for the treatment of musculoskeletal and joint disorders such as arthritis, rheumatoid, myositis, acute and chronic laminitis, bursitis, tendinitis and carpitis. Cabutazone is also indicated for the reduction of post-surgical soft tissue reaction, pain and painful injuries in horses, cattle, camels, sheep, goats and dogs.
• Cabutazone is also indicated as an adjunct to specific therapy in cases of pneumonia, mastitis, bacterial scours and endotoxic shock horses, cattle, camels, sheep, goats and dogs.

Dose:

• ( By Slowly I/V or deep I/M in all animals except in equine by slowly I/V only).
  4 mg / kg body weight.

Contra-Indications:

• Not to be used in case of known hyper-sensitivity, cardiac, renal diseases, oedema and a possibility of gastrointestinal ulceration.

Warnings:

Administration should be limited to a maximum of five successive days in animals and two successive days in dogs.

Withdrawal:

• Meat: 12 days.
• Milk: 4 days.

Storage:

Store at temperature not exceeding 30 C.
